My Monster Needs Tubes!

My little monster has not seemed to get any better. He is still a little fussy, he's been pulling at his ears again and he has been waking up at night again. We've been going to the doctor every two weeks and although the infection itself is gone, his ears are still inflamed and red. Because he has been particularly fussy the last few days and really sticking his fingers in his ears even though his third round of antibiotics is nearly complete, I took him to an ENT this afternoon. 

I have to say, I wasn't a huge fan of the ENT that we saw but he comes highly recommended. After listening to me for two seconds, he immediately suggested that Trent get tubes in his ears. Two seconds after that, he whipped out a consent form that he had me sign for him to do the surgery. I asked him a few questions about the surgery but he never answered them. He just kept giving me this speech that was clearly memorized. 

So, we have another appointment with the pediatrician on Thursday where I will see what she says. If she agrees with the ENT, I suppose we will schedule an appointment for Trent to get tubes in his ears. 

My poor little man! I feel so bad for him. I'll keep you updated on the outcome!
